Coral Co-Founder and CTO Vikas Nandwana Presents a Breakthrough Water Remediation Technology at Deep Tech Week in San Francisco. Coral Innovations was proud to be selected as one of the featured startups at the prestigious Deep Tech Demo Day, part of San Francisco’s Deep Tech Week — a premier gathering of scientists, entrepreneurs, and investors working at the frontiers of innovation.

Organized by Pear VC in partnership with the Polsky Center at the University of Chicago, Northwestern University, and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, the invitation-only event spotlighted 25 emerging ventures from leading research institutions across the Midwest.

Representing Coral Innovations, Co-Founder and CTO Dr. Vikas Nandwana presented our nanotechnology-based water purification platform, which targets critical environmental contaminants such as oil, phosphates, and heavy metals in industrial and municipal wastewater. Coral’s approach combines high-efficiency pollutant capture with cost-effective, scalable materials — enabling a more sustainable water future.

During the event, the Coral team engaged with a diverse group of investors, innovation leaders, and ecosystem partners. We’re pleased to share that several follow-up conversations are already underway with venture groups interested in cleantech and sustainability.

“This was an incredible platform to share our science and story,” said Dr. Nandwana. “It reaffirmed the importance of deep tech in solving some of the world’s most pressing challenges — and how critical collaboration is to bringing these solutions to scale.”

We extend our sincere thanks to the organizers for their support and vision, and we look forward to participating in future initiatives that accelerate impact-driven technologies.
